Dear New Boater,

Riverside Yacht Club extends an invitation to all new boaters to join us for the purpose of improving your boat handling skills and/or confidence. Our invitation includes;

1. For a period of 12 months
   1. In the company of fellow boaters
   2. With an interest in you and sharing with you
2. Our assistance in your learning,
   1. Where to go on the river
   2. How to maximize your enjoyment of boating.
   3. River & dock protocol
3. Instructions on how to handle your new boat
   1. Safe maneuvers with, across or against the current?
   2. Entering or leaving docking situations
   3. How to securely tie your boat
   4. Raft up mooring instructions
   5. Safe anchoring procedures
   6. Personal on the water instruction as desired or needed
4. How to live aboard your boat on weekends or vacations
   1. Hot water requirements
   2. Heat requirements
   3. Food storage & preparation short cuts
   4. 12 volt electrical system requirements
   5. Converting 12 volts for use with 110 volt appliances
5. Includes membership within our small family focused boat club
   1. All of this for only $100.00 for one year.
   2. After which you are invited to remain a member of our club for only $50.00 annually or
      • You are free to join another club or organization
      • Depart from formal boating organizations and cruise independently with your new acquired knowledge to enjoy boating safely.

 

Boat Dealers, Brokers, Resellers:
We have noticed many new boats are sold each year, often to new boaters who for their first time are entering a self contained boat lifestyle. We notice these new members to our boating community frequently need additional assistance in learning how and where to use their boat.

We invite you to direct your customers to our club. In exchange for your referral we will do our best to insure you and your business receive high praise from your clientele because of your referral.  For a small fee your clients acquire the opportunity to accumulate 12 months of personal on the water instructions or assistance as they require, need or seek.  We ask for at least a 50% attendance commitment by referred persons to our scheduled cruises, without which it becomes difficult for us to meet the commitments stated herein.

Our Expectations of You;

1. We don’t expect financial reimbursements from your firm as a result of your referrals.
2. Copies of this new boater assistance program may be printed at will from our web site at www.webnautica.us/RYC/newboaters.html.

1. While all boaters are welcome, we specifically seek new boaters to our weekend live aboard boating lifestyle.
2. New boaters whom you recognize need encouragement to build confidence, skill or knowledge to maximize their purchase decision satisfaction.

It is our hope to encourage these people to go beyond the fear of “what do we do now” and help them realize maximum enjoyment potential with their purchase decision.
